A clear view of the data journey.

This plain-language page explains how the Overdrive website is designed to handle information. It is practical information, not legal advice.

What the site may receive

Overdrive may receive information you choose to send through a contact, partnership or media-kit form, such as your name, company, contact details and project information. The site may also receive ordinary technical records needed to deliver and protect a web service, including request time, browser details, approximate network information and error or security logs.

Do not send confidential vehicle records, payment-card information or other sensitive personal information through a general enquiry form.

How enquiry information is used

Enquiry information is used to respond, route the request to the appropriate person, prevent spam, maintain a record of the conversation and follow up on the requested service. It should not be repurposed as a public profile or published testimonial without separate approval.

Analytics and consent

The site can support configurable analytics, including Google Analytics, to understand page use, search activity, outbound platform clicks, video interactions and enquiry conversions. Analytics credentials are not built into public page code.

Where consent is required, non-essential analytics remains off until you make a choice. Use Analytics preferences in the footer to allow or reject optional measurement and revisit that choice at any time. Essential storage may still be used for security, form delivery, accessibility or remembering the consent selection.

If analytics is not configured, the site should not describe analytics collection as active. Blocking optional cookies or scripts may reduce measurement without preventing access to ordinary editorial pages.

Video and social-platform embeds

Overdrive uses lightweight previews and direct links so a page does not need to load numerous third-party players on arrival. A full YouTube, Instagram or TikTok embed should load only after you choose to open or play that item.

After you activate an embed, the relevant platform may receive your IP address, browser information, page context and any cookies or account signals it is permitted to use. That processing is controlled by the platform's own terms and privacy policy. Opening an external profile or video link also takes you to that platform.

Service providers and sharing

Overdrive may use hosting, database, email-delivery, analytics, spam-prevention and error-monitoring providers to operate the site. Those providers should receive only the information needed for their role. Enquiry details are not collected to build a list for sale. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service or to investigate abuse.

Retention

Information should be kept only as long as it is reasonably needed to answer an enquiry, provide the requested service, maintain security records, resolve a dispute or meet an applicable obligation. Retention can vary with the type of record; expired or unnecessary records should be deleted or anonymised where practical.

Security

API credentials and platform tokens belong on the server, not in browser code. Access controls, validation and secure transport reduce risk, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices

  • Decline optional analytics when a consent choice is offered.
  • Use direct text pages without activating third-party embeds.
  • Avoid submitting optional fields that are not needed for your enquiry.
  • Ask Overdrive to review, correct or delete information you previously submitted, subject to applicable obligations.

Use the Overdrive contact page for a privacy request and clearly label the message as privacy-related. Overdrive may need enough information to verify and locate the request without collecting more than necessary.
